Shop To Accumulate Assets And Not Vanquish Them!

Shopping is usually done as a hobby. People shop to pass their time. At the same time, shopping is also a habit that makes people feel good about themselves. Buying a new and sparkly dress with your first salary can make up for all the hard work you put into your projects and also for all the sleepless nights that you endured to finish it before the deadline.

Yes, the true meaning of shopping is hugely underrated. Buying diamond studs and wearing them to work can elevate your self-esteem. A Rolex or even a Fossil watch can uplift your style quotient ten times and your confidence along with it.

More than a hobby, shopping is also a need. All of us do it almost every day. The most prevalent version of this, to shop for groceries, is done regularly because, without it, our survival will be quite tricky.

Still, whenever someone says the word shopping, the first thing that pops into our minds is expenses, hefty expenses that will make the wait for the next paycheck longer and more arduous.

What if I told you that shopping need not be an expense, but it can be a source of income? What if shopping was not a loss but again? Wouldn't that be amazing? I am sure then our husbands and fathers would never deny us the privilege of doing it consistently.

It is only possible if you shop for the right things, these are the things that will add to your wealth in the long term as well. Let us find out what these are.

The first item that is one of the most profitable in the world, even when you are losing money, is jewelry. Not only women get euphoric by purchasing it, the value of jewelry never depreciates. A diamond ring is going to be as valuable fifty years later as it is in the present, and there is a high likelihood that its price would appreciate it.

You can buy any form of jewelry, be it gold, silver, platinum or diamond. I say that if you can get your hands on a piece of jewelry that you love, then even if it means that you have to take loans for unemployed with bad credit and no guarantor, you should; because jewelry never fades

Next on the list is artwork, from photographs and portraits to sculptures and paintings. You must have heard of the famous Mona Lisa housed at The Louvre in Paris, or Michelango's David. These are the masterpieces of artistic representations that changed the way man saw art.

I am not saying go and buy a Monet, but you can buy a painting that is within your reach. Go to art galleries close to you, there are numerous up and coming artists, and maybe, you can get your hands on a painting that could compete with Leonardo da Vinci's magnum opus.

A standard saying old is gold comes to my mind when I think about vintage objects. From the tiny coins of the Elizabethan era to the elusive and primitive collector's stamps; from the antique jewelry to the antique cars; everything that was popular and everything old holds a lot of value.

If you search vintage Chanel handbags to buy, you would be astounded with the results. A vintage Chanel can cost anywhere between 2000 to 6000 pounds in the UK. I found one on eBay that was worth 12000 USD. 1965 refurbished Chevrolet Chevelle cost my fiance a whopping 40,000 pounds. That is the value of vintage for you.

Buying property is not just shopping but also investing. From farming land to an office complex; from a quaint flat to a six-bedroom mansion; whenever you think of buying property, you are raising your net worth.

For most of us, buying a home is as much as we can afford, even then a loan becomes necessary. But a home loan is not a burden, with each instalment you get closer to calling your home your own. And I don't think I have to say it, but property values increase with inflation. So, you are combating that and winning.

In the end, I am hoping that your perspective towards shopping would have altered at least somewhat. I, by no means, meant to imply that you should not buy yourself new clothes and shoes. By all means, continue doing it, however, also think that by shopping for the four things I talked about, you can gain a lot more than you stand to lose. Clothes and shoes will fade away, those as mentioned earlier would never do so.

A profitable shopping habit will always be more appealing to both men and women. Why should you lose money while shopping, when you can quickly gain it?
